Streets Thronged With Soldiers

Until one sees them altogether it is difficult to realize what a splendid showing our boys are making and how well they have answered the call to the colors. On Saturday evening the streets were literally packed with boys in khaki and go where one would down the side streets or along the byways there were soldiers just the same, and "every laddie had a lassie."

It is hard to see our boys go, but it would be harder to feel that they did not want to go. It is with a thrill of satisfaction and admiration that we hear our lads proclaim that they want to "prove their mettle" and if we can judge from the boys already in the trenches we know that they will.

The boys of Ladner are certainly doing their share as are the women and girls who stay at home only because they have to . . .
