A great many innovations have been introduced by [the Delta Women's Patriotic Society] and one of them was a "Comfort Shower." Besides realizing a great many articles to go in the "comforts," a sum of $48 was also realised. In this connection, each Delta boy (23 so far), who has volunteered for service, has been provided with a "Comfort Bag" containing the following articles:
- Pajama suit,
- cholera belt,
- muffler,
- pr. socks,
- pr. mitts,
- leather boot laces,
- pocket comb,
- tooth brush,
- tooth paste,
- Talcum powder,
- Eno's Fruit Salts,
- vaseline,
- cold cream,
- carbolic soap,
- Batchelor buttons,
- darning wool and needles,
- white and black thread and needles,
- safety and common pins,
- nail scissors,
- colored bandanna handkerchief,
- writing pad and envelopes,
- indelible pencils,
- pocket knife,
- chewing gum,
- tobacco,
- testament or prayer book.
