Pacific Coast Branch,
Who We Are

The Pacific Coast Branch of The Western Front Association was founded in 1999 and has members from the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan; and the States of Washington, Oregon, California, Virginia, and Florida. The worldwide membership in the Western Front Association is over 6500 and there are 57 separate Branches and Branch Chapters in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

You can become a member of the Pacific Coast Branch, even though you are not a member of the parent Western Front Association in England. However, joining the WFA is highly recommended. The Branch 2010 annual membership dues are $35.00 Canadian and membership is available through the Treasurer. Membership includes four 60 page issues per year of the Branch newsletter, The Listening Post.

It is the intent of the Pacific Coast Branch to publish The Listening Post four times a year at the end of June, September, mid-December, and for the Annual Seminar in March. It will only be a viable publication if it is supported by the membership through the submission of articles, research, news, book reviews, pictures, and requests for research assistance or information.

Due to our widespread nature we meet formally once a year, the 2nd weekend in March at the Officers Mess, Canadian Scottish Regiment, Victoria, B.C. Lower Mainland members get together in April and September for a Brunch meeting and other "ad hoc" meets. Local groups of members in other areas are encouraged to gather informally together.
